Support Puerto Rican Local Artisans and Artists. Since 2015

We created this list on 2015 to support some local friends while I moved to the Diaspora. Then we fixed it in 2017 to give options to people that were still wondering ways to support Puerto Rico’s recovery journey after Hurricane María in 2017. Then the Earthquakes happened, and the politicians kept stealing from our people, and I dont have to go into details how COVID-19 hasn’t been any different. It has impacted our communities in the island that had barely time to recover one tragedy after the other.

We highly recommended back then, and still today, to consider buying your holiday gifts, crafts, comics, bags, clothes and general “Made in Puerto Rico” items directly from artists and artisans in the Island.

In order to make this possible, in Mama Aicha Mujer Montuna we kept posting directly on our page since 2017 all the amazing artisst that have crossed our path. We posted weekly links and items from Puerto Rican Artisans and Artists that were selling their beauties online and you could consider for your holiday gifts. Today we have them all on this written piece and we keep adding every year.

Supporting them helps support our economy, our families and our island general recovery. We are living in austerity times and our people are struggling not only with what María, Earthquakes or COVID left of us or didn’t, but with a government that is selling every inch of us.

Buy straight from our people, not from corporations. This is another way to resist! #ShopSmall We can brake up with that toxic Amazon relationship little by little. #SupportOurArtisans #SupportOurSmallBusinesses

Know any artists you want to see in this list? Send them our way at jcruz.tsalud@gmail.com and we will post them all.
