Entrenamiento Doulas Espectro Completo con Sokana Collective
Montuna, Sokana Collective, y Luz Maternal Chicago estaremos ofreciendo el primer taller en Español de Doulas a Espectro Completo para la comunidad Latina. El curso dura 5 días en Chicago, por un total de 40 horas. Las fechas son: el 25, 26, y 27 de abril, y el 3 y 4 de mayo. Este Curso le ayudará a prepararse para apoyar a las familias como doula del embarazo/prenatal, del parto, y del posparto. El taller será presencial en las hermosas facilidades de Family Picnic, Chicago at 5306 N Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60625.

Menopause Workshop!
During this 2.5-hour workshop, we'll explore research throughout history in order to both challenge misinformation and consider treatment options. During our discussion of care, we'll consider both self-care and community care in order to root ourselves in a feminist approach to menopause.

Pelvic Self Exam Workshops!
This 2-hour workshop will discuss the pelvic floor and its function across bodies, as well as review the history of the Pelvic Self Exam movement. We’ll discuss best practices for pelvic exams and explore the medical violence and bias involved in pelvic health.

EMBRACE Doula Training with Partum Health
Montuna, we will be collaborating with Partum Health on their second doula training program designed to offer aspiring perinatal caregivers a well-rounded, evidence-based understanding of perinatal health and birth justice–and certify them for a career in doula care.
The training will prepare caregivers to support and empower expectant parents prenatally, during labor and delivery, and postpartum with newborn care. This training and certification exam, paired with birth observations, will qualify you to offer full-spectrum doula care. Montuna will be training on abortion, perinatal and fertility loss.
Abortion Companions
In collaboration with Chicago Women’s Health Center, we will be offering a January Abortion Companion Training that is now open for registration. Sessions will take place over Zoom on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 6pm to 7:30pm CT.
Folks in Chicago and elsewhere are welcome to join this virtual opportunity to further equip themselves as companions to those in our communities navigating abortion care. This is training is available on a sliding scale with no one turned away based on their ability to pay.

This educational conversation will help Doulas understand early pregnancy loss, miscarriages, and stillbirths, including medical and holistic management. It provides a safe space to discuss often unspoken experiences. Our classes emphasize Doulas' crucial role in communities, offering a reproductive and racial justice perspective. Each class is centered on trauma-informed care. Educational materials and resources are provided to support Doulas in their vital work.
